Hi, I'm Faige Kobre creator of the Complete Smart Art guide
bringing the ideas of non crafts art, to preschool teachers around the world.
My graduate degree was received at Bank Street College of Education, in New York City. Bank Street is probably the foremost graduate school in progressive Education with a real schoolthat kind of servs as a lab of sorts for the graduate school.
As a preschool director in one of my last years in a formal position, I started creating handouts for my teachers to help them in their classrooms
A few years later as I was ging through old papers I came across the handouts I had given out on art. I realized I had the makings of a really good guide which could help teachers implement these ideas into their classrooms.
I think that there are two basic types of teachers. Very traditional structured types, and very free do what you want type of teachers.
I knew there was a happy medium and decided to put together a guide to help show how wonderful progressive art is when done in a structured fashion.
Originally this was a printed book that I sold in the United States until I started learning about the internet. When I realized that I can make this material accessible to people all over the world in downloadable form.This e book was born.
